About Grace Anne.....

Like many vocalists, Grace Anne's love of singing started at an early age. High school choir nurtured the desire. But it was as an adult, performing in community theater, that passion was truly born. Her favorite productions have been Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Sister Act and The Adventures of Aaron.

In Fiddler on the Roof, Grace Anne portrayed Golde with local Kalamazoo Civic icon Jim Carver as Tevye. In the Kalamazoo Gazette review of the production, C.J. Gianakaris wrote:

"Carver's opening song "Tradition" set the pace for the entire show while his "Sunrise Sunset" with Grace Anne's Golde will not be surpassed on many stages in the world."

Grace Anne spent 3 years singing with the Kalamazoo Singers, an audition only choral ensemble of forty mixed voices. In 2005 the Kalamazoo Singers were the first organization allowed to vocally perform Steven Schwartz's Broadway hit Wicked. Over the years, she has performed in productions at the Kalamazoo Civic, the State Theater and Miller Auditorium.

Grace Anne's music styling's have been influenced by Joni Mitchell, Sade, Carole King, Heart, Cheryl Crow, Linda Ronstadt, Oleta Adams and Bonnie Raitt. In addition to performing jazz and pop standards with talented local piano players, she was the lead singer for the local rock and blues bands, 2nd Shift, Vintage and The Kendall Effect.
